Recently went to Tijan's for the first time after 10+ years of coming to the northwoods. When you walk in there is a huge bar that has these cool trays they put on the bar if you order food. There is a tiki bar off the back, and then the main dining room. We had a large group and were told it would be about 45 minus for a table to we hung out by the bar. The bartender asked if she could get anyone anything and then when one person spoke up she got their drink...then the next person...and the next person...instead of just taking all of our orders at once. Kind of annoying but kind of amusing (we had all spent the day on the chain, we were hungry but in good moods). We were all seated for dinner and our waitress (Suzy?) was AWESOME. So friendly, so attentive, and great with the kids. When one of the little guys didn't like the tomato sauce she made sure to get an order of Mac and cheese for him before he turned into a pumpkin. She was great at making sure we had our beverages refilled the whole time and made sure everyone who ordered fish fry was getting their next round quickly. When they were having issues getting the broiled fish out, she apologized profusely but brought out more fried so at least we could eat. One of the people dining with us has Celiac disease and Suzy was very informative of what he could and couldn't eat - even suggesting that he not have the fries because they share oil with breaded items. It was so nice that she was so attentive and well-informed. Prices are also good, and the women's restroom has a little basket with feminine products in it. Just thought that was such a nice touch to see! Everyone thought the food was pretty good. Maybe not the best I've ever eaten, but will absolutely be back.

We found this place on yelp, on a trip to the UP. Sat in the tiki bar, what a great place! The fish was excellent as well as the mandarin chicken salad. Good service and a great location!!

A few weeks ago while still on my Yelp retirement (please see review of Naples15 that brought me out of retierment) we we're heading home and decided we wanted to try something new. I had always noticed the 12 Pines signs on the highway and decided....why the heck not. Upon arrival we were greatest wonderfully and seated right away. Please note a lot has changed in our restaurant habits with the birth of our new son back in December. So, places that will go out of their way to accommodate a family with a small child are A+ in my book. We sat outside so not to annoy the other customers with our very loud and active child. That was not a issue at all and even the plastic tables on the deck could support our little high chair thing we had for him at the time (too little for a real high chair at that moment in time). I will say the decor was a bit dated but what can you expect from a bar in the northwoods. Drinks we nice and made well. Now the food....the broasted chicken is amazing! Like seriously amazing. So good that I have been trying it at other places and it does not even compare. Over all...great place. I cannot complain nor so I have any of my terrible yelp jokes to go along with this review. Oh....and don't go to 12 Pines at 12 in the afternoon...they are only open for dinner. See what I did there?

The absolute BEST broasted chicken in the Northwoods. Wow. Seriously. Get this here. And the American fries. The service is pretty slow. Like others reviewed. Like, 7-8 minutes between ordering drinks & receiving them. But prices are fair; and food is tasty.

Pizza has gone down hill. Still a fun location with friendly(often slow but I'm ok with that) service. I've been to twelve pines 50+ times in my life. Normally a lunch(via boat) and dinner spot in our annual trip to eagle river, but this was my last visit due to subpar pizza again. I have family who lives in eagle river and they said most locals stopped going too. Wish they told me this before my last visit with my family.

Unbelievably horrible nightmare. Took my parents there f for dinner with my husband. They told us not to order pizza because it takes 40 minutes but that we should try the roasted chicken special. What they didn't tell us was that it takes two hours to wait for the broasted chicken special!!! The waitress kept saying it would only be a few minutes longer ,And we got tired of waiting after two hours and finally left. At 9 pm. Hungry, crabby, and so dissapointed in how they run their business.

My family and I were up in eagle valley for a mini get away and this place was suggested to us. All of the food we received was delicious and our waitress was extremely polite. If you're ever up in the north woods I would definitely recommend this place !

Pizza was outstanding! However, once again, the service was very slow. This has been a pattern during our last several visits. At least bring the drinks in a timely fashion, but that took forever. Restaurant was about half full so can't blame the crowds.

Service is so incredibly sloooooow!!! There were barely any other customers in the place @ 8:30 on a Thursday night and the waitress had nooo sense of urgency to pick up food that was put in the window to b served...several times we just sat there watching her stand about 3 feet from the food, chatting away w another employee while someones food sat there getting colder and colder, on one hand hoping it wasn't ours, but on the other hand, hoping it was cuz we were STARVING!!! I considered getting up and serving it myself at one point!!! SHEESH!!!! I think they changed their pizza recipe in the last couple years, i used to really like it but now it's just ok, the crust tastes like its made w french bread dough or something, it tasted more like pizza bread than pizza. From now on it's Sweetwater in Eagle River, or Log Cabin in Conover for me when I want a delicious pizza in the Northwoods!!

For Pizza and the Broasted Chicken you will not find a better place in the Northwoods. The Pizza is FANTASTIC. Wait times can be lone as they don't accept reservations. I hear they just opened another one in Conover, but do not serve the pizza at that location. Have to go every time we are in Eagle River. Staff is nice as well. One is when they have live music it is VERY loud not only on the patio but in the main diningroom as well. Love this place.

Stopped in from snowmobiling for dinner. Food was excellent - had the broasted chicken The bar tenders and owner are extremely friendly and are very good with service. Price was very reasonable for the amount of food we got. I hope they keep the Christmas decorations up year round !!

Twelve Pines is a great bar and restaurant which has recently been renovated by new owners. Not only has the atmosphere been greatly improved, but the bar area is now conducive to great food and conversation. I love their broasted chicken and have been there several times for fish fries. A great place for a quick meal, very friendly service and delicious food. I also like the fact that they are open year round unlike a lot of restaurants in this vacation area.

A solid goto when in Eagle River! On chain / Catfish Lake. Dock your boat and walk up..Try the broasted chicken or pizza - it's good and priced right.

Good pizza, and no smoking allowed anymore. Good atmosphere, but be sure to ask for a crispy crust, as they trend to undercook their pizza.

We walked in for dinner and were overpowered by the smell of stale cigarette smoke. I don't know how anyone can extoll the taste of food here when your olfactory organs are so overpowered with smoke. We've been coming to the northwoods for over 30 years and we know smoky bars & restaurants, but this was the worst. Maybe next year when the smoking ban goes into effect we'll get a chance to see if the food really is good, but not until then.

Good pizza, even when reviewed by a Chicagoan that is married to a New Yorker. Good prices, cold beer, funky atmosphere.

Good up north food. Had signature chicken and pizza. Was very satisfied. Wife ordered chicken sandwich (beadless-gluten) two days in a row. Said it was juicy and would order again. Fries were a bit lifeless but overall good eats. Also was a bit warm (80's outside) indoors but maybe AC was out. Would go again.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
